Cos I did the Concorde on BA a few weeks before the service ended, and it flew Mach 2.2 or something like that. But we did JFK-LHR is something like 2 hours 45 mins !

Those were the good 'ol days. Though the seats suck, the speed was fantastic! I believe the flight took 9 hours with a one-hour smoke-break in Bahrain. Presumably, it could've been faster but because it flew mostly over inhabited areas, it had to fly sub-sonic when it did so, so as not to boom everyone out of their sleep.

Wished I was old enough to have taken a ride in that plane.

So the BAH break is more for fuel? The bird won't be able to fly non-stop SIN-LHR?
