    From Singapore's Transport Minister.
Two weeks ago, Singapore Airlines invited me to their office for lunch and served me airplane food. But this is no ordinary ‘chicken or fish’ airplane food, but a preview of their new offering.

The food are served in eco-friendly boxes. Once a box is closed, it does not leak. I shook a box of congee around and nothing seeped out.

With these containers, #SIA can serve hot soup, mee siam, laksa...many exciting possibilities. And the local desserts were great. I had two cakes - pulut hitam and ondeh ondeh.

This new offering will be officially launched this Saturday, and on board selected short-haul flights from 1 Dec. SIA agreed that I give this sneak preview.

Even during such times, SIA is innovating. It is indeed one of our proudest #Singapore brands.

Not small accordingly to SQ. Similar to current offering as the new packaging is more deeper.
Official SQ linkhttps://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/s...Ssfrv_10GGLcY# n there is a video showing the portion

Does this mean that all other flights above 3.5 hours except those exceptions listed will be the old style tray layout?

Not as bad as I thought but I still think the current offering is on the small side.
