  • Now a Meet & Greet service available at Changi

    I cannot think of another airport anywhere in the world where this is less needed than at Changi, but, if people are daft enough to pay for it....

    Plaza Premium Lounge Management has become the official Meet & Greet Services provider at Singapore Changi Airport.

    Dedicated Guest Service Officers will greet travellers with a placard bearing the guest name or a company logo, after they disembark the aircraft. The Officer then escorts them through immigration and customs, facilitate the airport formalities and the luggage. The travellers will then be guided to a limousine or any pre-arranged ground transportation for transfer to their destination.

    For departing guests, the Guest Service Officer can arrange for a limousine to pick them up at the hotel, assist with the luggage and then take them to the airport. Alternately, the Officer can meet them at the Departure drop-off zone of their departure flight at all Terminals (Terminal 1, 2 and 3 or the Budget Terminal while it is still open), and ease them through the airport formalities.

    Travellers who wish to stay away from the airport crowds and enjoy a pre-flight relaxation can also enjoy an airport lounge until it is time for boarding, when the Officer will complete assist them all the way to the boarding gate.

    Apart from offering personal assistance to individual travelers, Meet & Greet Services can also serve group travelers.

    This may have nothing to do with convenience or assistance but in the context of Asian culture, it may be more of a matter of face.

      Possibly, but two things spring to mind there:

      1) Why has it taken so long for this to be offered ?
      2) If you're doing something that is plainly silly, then you lose face rather than gain or keep it.

        I sure hope their service is better than their consistency...

                      They've always had a meet and greet service at Changi, haven't they? I remember seeing it on the pricelist when I stayed a night at the Ambassador transit hotel years ago - they were the service provider then.

                          Doesn't JetQuay offer meet and greet services?

                          If the qualify of Plaza Premium meet and greet is like their lounges, couldn't it lead to a loss of face?
