Default Cathay Pacific Premium Economy

Hi all

Just wondering when I booked premium economy (under credit card promotion rate) on Cathay Pacific, if 1 or 2 sectors doesn’t have premium economy seats, will they upgrade me to business class?

Thank you.

As far as I know, the answer is no.
You would probably luck out if there is a last minute aircraft change to 2 class (no PY) aircraft, in which case they would usually accomodate you in J.

Based on CX Flyertalkers anecdotes,

R,E gets you up to Business
W moves you down to Economy
