Redeeming Flights SIN to HNL

Am seeking some advise please.

Wish to redeem 4 tickets SIN-HNL-SIN next year (March 2012) and use KF miles, flying on partner airline like ANA or United (not sure if any other airlines would work).

Wish to redeem 2 J tickets + 2 Y tickets.

Has anyone done this and care to share what works well? I believe all partner airline redemptions have to be done through Call Centre. How early in advance are seats open and are they generally available? Are you allowed to hold seats ... and if you cancel, do you get miles refunded?

For March 2012 you can already call and ask (call centre only), but there are very few choices as you mention. Your best shot will be UA or NH - I would second that. The only think I can say is that a friend told me that he had a heck of a time getting NRT-HNL seats in C in the past. Never tried it myself, but good luck anyways.

You can also try SQ/NZ via AKL.
Since you are using KF miles, the AKL flights will be quite easy to secure (but only on the morning flight).

Alternatively, you can take the night CHC flight then to AKL then to HNL.

But I am not sure about availability on NZ.
