That's a shame, but not unexpected. As a fan of row 71 it removes about the only reason I can think of to favour SQ over any of their competitors. Looking forward to MH getting their A380s.

It would be good if every Y window seats have a extra storage space..not mentioning it can be done like a table/hand rest.

The cubby holes as we fondly call it is to supplement the slightly smaller overhead bins due to the tapering of the roof.

Shouldn't SQ consider during the bad times as well? Imagine only economy class seats are filled up and the entire upper deck and lower front are vacant? maybe they have no choice but to start upgrading people

Even if they run with a half filled J/F/R cabin, a full Y cabin only wins by a nose in terms of revenue... the maths speaks for itself

MH's A380s will have J, Y+ and a small portion of Y cabin on the upper deck.

I have not heard any rumours of reconfiguring the existing aircraft, though I wouldn't rule it out.

The semi-official announcement is only for new build birds. Existing birds will remain as they are.

Heard from a little bird that new builds are confirmed to have an all C upper deck and will be used on routes with heavy C demand like LHR. Suites will remain as well.
