  • RIP Father of 747

    https://www.flightglobal.com/news/ar...-at-95-428910/

Joe Sutter, popularly known as the father of 747 has passed away at the age of 95. He has, with his group of engineers and mechanics, single handedly changed the face of aviation making it possible for the man on the street to fly. Betting the company's existence, he did the impossible designing the 747 with slide rules and at a time when calculators were not even invented and no complex simulation software available. To date, one of the most well designed aircraft, both on the outside and inside. RIP Mr Joe Sutter.

RIP. Watched the documentary videos of the building of the B747. It is in every way the pioneer aircraft for this generation of aircraft. The basic combination of the shape and design (and the outcomes) are all the same. Any advancements have only been improvements on what was pioneered by the 747.
