Hi there,
I am thinking of flying from SIN to YVR on CX (via HKG) later this year. Someone once told me that if I stop over (at HKG in this case), I will get better Tier Points...
Firstly, is that true?
Secondly, if it is, how would I go about it?

BA uses a zone based system so it depends. For example if you fly to London direct on BA in business it's 360 return from SIN. If you fly via Helsinki it's 440 return from SIN.

You can calculate the tier points you will earn using their calculator. Beware you need to enter each sector as it's not clever enough to include a stopover.
