Scoot to stop flying to four cities due to weak demand, aircraft shortage

This is not surprising, a good excuse to the public as well to cancel some of the routes.
The male route cancellation was planned before the 737 grounding. It is a premium destination that is already being served by SQ and MI.

They file new schedule in Feb this year increase the Male flight from 4 to 5 per week. Weird that they would want to cancel it

Indeed very weird that Scoot is stopping Male route. Or perhaps SQ will take over MI, flying the route again with twice daily widebody frequency?

That would make some sense. They've got old 772s that used to fly the route in the past and that aren't affected by any of the new Boeing crises.

Come to think of it, a 0730 - 0900 widebody Male flight would be very useful. Pass immigration and customs, into the speedboat, and be just in time for check-in.
