    • Transit passengers from countries Singapore has unilaterally opened its borders to are now free to roam the transit area, shop and use the SilverKris lounge if eligible (or paid / Priority Pass lounges), during their connection at Changi.

Additionally, there is no longer any segregation between transit passengers and point-to-point passengers on board SIA flights. You can choose a seat where you want.

      • Singapore Airlines has launched its first seatless cargo flight. Premium Economy and Economy Class seats have been removed from the first aircraft, 9V-SWN, and given a new type code: B77WF.

Initially, the aircraft will operate SQ12|05NOV (SIN-NRT) on a trial basis.

Are these freighter conversions done on a temporary basis, until passenger numbers return closer to pre-pandemic levels, or are the conversions intended to be long-term?

Will be on a temporary basis until demand recovers.

                    • Surprise that SQ decided to finally convert 2 of its 77Ws so late at this stage as in the earlier months it was more critical as then there were hardly any regular flights.

                      • SQ will be launching 1 weekly passenger flight to Shenzhen with A350(Regional Variant), commencing this Sunday (15NOV20). A good move to tap into the cargo market at Shenzhen.

                        Flight details:
                        SQ846 SIN0725 – 1120SZX 359 7
                        SQ847 SZX1420 – 1805SIN 359 7

                        • Looks like Nagoya is also restarting from 02JAN21, three times per week:

                          SQ672 SIN0120 – 0830NGO 787 367

                          • Seems like there is a flight to Beijing Daxing using B787-10 aircraft.

                            SQ810|02DEC (SIN-PKX)
                            STD: 0030

                            SQ811|02DEC (PKX-SIN)
                            STA: 1520

Not sure if it will fly eventually as previous entries have been cancelled.
Singapore Airlines - A great way to fly...

                            • Not a new flight, but the flight numbers for the sole daily SIN-BKK vv are changing from SQ 976/979 to SQ 712/711 from 1 Jan. Especially interesting because I don't recall an SQ 7XX passenger flight number.

Also looks like SQ 632/633 to HND will restart from Jan 18.

Indeed, this is the first time the SQ7xx series has been used for a very long time!

Colombo pax flights have also restarted recently (cargo-only SIN-CMB, pax+cargo CMB-SIN 3 times weekly with A359R).

                                HND daily from 18/1 will be a 3-class A350.
