Default Airbus completes autonomous flight testing (Airbus A350-1000WXB)

This seems to be quite a milestone, with a test aircraft (An A350-1000XWB, no less) successfully taxi-ing, taking off, flying, then landing again in a whole series of tests that have just been completed.

Pilots were onboard, but apparently just watching...

The Airbus website also has full details on the tests, which were completed at the end of June 2020.

I guess this could one day mean aircraft can take off and land on foggy runways?
