Flight MI482 SIN-MLE | 14JUL STD 10:05 operated by A320 9V-SLQ returned to base in SIN Changi airport after circling the sea east of Changi after its take off. The plane has been out of service since.

A replacement aircraft B738 9V-MGD departed 4.5 hrs late from SIN at 14:31 and arrived MLE 15:37.

Some passengers (mainly connecting ones) on the return MLE-SIN MI481 was transferred to a later flight MI483 STD 13:35, 45 mins later than original MI481 STD. Originally MI483 was only half full but with the transfer of passengers from MI481, only a few empty seats remain. Flight MI 483 left the parking stand (no pushback at MLE for narrow body planes as they are parked 45 degrees to allow them to roll to the taxiway straight) about 10 mins ahead of schedule and was in the air before STD. Transferred passengers from MI481 arrives 30 mins late into SIN on MI483.

Passengers on MI481 not transferred to MI483 was given US$ 40 meal voucher each to be spent at the MLE airport. MI 481 departed 4 hours late and landed SIN 00:35.

Fortunate that MI operated 2 flights to MLE departing less than an hour apart on select days including Saturday, which would have averted lots of missed connection situation in SIN as most of the passengers on SIN-MLE routes are connecting passengers.

Has 9V-SBE been officially de-leased? It last flew 2 days ago as MI605|12AUG (PNH-SIN).

MI341|13AUG (KUL-SIN) operated by 9V-SBH had an issue that resulted in an Air Turn Back (ATB) to KUL, where the aircraft has been AOGed since.

The aircraft is scheduled to return as MI9341 and arrive in SIN at 1730 LT today (14AUG18).

As a result of this, MI774|14AUG (SIN-USM) was re-timed to depart with a delay of 3 hours; as they had to wait for 9V-SBG to return from the earlier USM flight (MI772/771|14AUG).

        STD: 1025
        ETD: 1325
        ATD: 1423

9V-SBE was pinging from near the T2 central gates earlier today. But I suppose it has been de-leased since it didn't operate the USM flight. Missed by a day or 2?

There doesn't seem to be any data no FR24, so it is for sure likely in the process of being deleased.

If they're retiring their A319, how will Silkair service USM? Will they transfer the route to Scoot?

the remaining A319s, SBG & SBH are relatively new. So i don't think SLK has any plans to delease them for now.

SLG should be the next aircraft to go. its currently the oldest A320 in the fleet.
