TR980|12 Aug SIN-HKG turned back near Zhuhai and landed back in SIN at 20:36. Total flight time 6hr 20 mins for the A320neo 9V-TNA.

Fortunately its a A320NEO and that it was ferrying supposedly a full fuel load as otherwise it would not be able to fly back to SIN. Am sure they were prepared for a possible diversion as normally they will not be tankering a full fuel load and will refuel when it lands at HKG for the return flight.

Flights that had not yet departed - those already airborne were told to continue with "expected diversion", so I guess this was the Scoot captain's call.

On a side note, today's TR974 is again cancelled. (and SCMP journos fly Scoot? Oof)
