Hopefully. There's alot to catch up on regarding maintenance. Aircraft was placed into long term storage. Not sure how long it would take to undo. Its about due for its 1st C check too.

      • Work is starting on returning 9V-MBA back to Sin. Aircraft should be back before Christmas.

        • Wonder if the fixes and software to the Max be done in ASP, or more likely flown back to SIN to be done.

Boeing is doing the fixes in ASP from what I'm told.

                  • 9V-MBA is currently parked at SIN. There is a high probability that it will undergo a livery change to SQ colours in the next few weeks.

As for the remaining five MAX aircraft at ASP, SQ has confirmed with Simpleflying that it will be flying back to SIN.

Interesting, though it's not tied to a particular quote from the airline and may be a supposition based on the February 2019 media statement.

When we recently enquired, SIA wouldn't tell us anything about the seats or their intention for the MAX jets.

I suspect it is true though, there's no point in returning these to MI or launching them with an inferior product in SQ!

                        • Does anyone know the list of SilkAir B738 that have been repainted to SQ Livery? What is known is MGA, MGK, MGM. How about the rest?

So far 5 have been repainted:

                            9V-MGK
                            9V-MGL
                            9V-MGM

But basically it will be the same seats as in MI - the only thing is that they will be refitted with new seat covers only.
