She was flown recently from Spain to France Nimes Airport. There are some MRO companies operating there, hopefully she has found a new operator.

              • What has happened to SSI?
Hasn’t recorded any flights since the tailstrike incident at RGN in November last year.

Last saw it in SIAEC's hangar a few days ago.

Was it with an unpainted rudder? I recall seeing an A330 with an unpainted rudder (similar to 9V-MGQ) parked at Stand 200-something a month or so ago.
Singapore Airlines - A great way to fly...

Yup. That's the one. It was parked at remote bays till it got a hangar space.

                      • 9V-SSB has left SIN as SQ8893 this morning, apparently bound for FRA. It is due to enter service with Hi Fly as 9H-HFF.

I somehow have a feeling none of the A330 is going to return to SIA service anymore and A330 will be taken up by regional A350s.

Just a speculation and wild guess.

                          • Am surprised that SSG/SSH/SSI are in service less than 5yo. It does seem like they have been in service for very long.

These A330s are leased for 5 years only and SQ have planned to return them when 5 years is due, but however because of covid19, now they likely not be used anymore. However the other 4 are just below 6 years old and the exception is STC which have been with SQ for the longest at 11.3 years old.

6 years. Usually their last passenger flights are at the 5 year 9 month mark.

Honestly I have been hoping they they get phased out earlier, as routes using A330 would be the last to get A350 regional replacements.

Most of my flights were A330s and am getting tired of it.
