Unofficial reports in the Vietnamese and Chinese media have quoted the Vietnamese Navy as saying that flight MH370 went down in the South China Sea.

Leading Vietnamese daily Tuoi Tre and Chinese news agency Xinhua have quoted Navy Admiral Ngo Van Phat, Commander of the Region 5, military radar as saying that the plane crashed into the sea at a location 153 miles South of Phu Quoc island.

According to Italy and Austria foreign ministries, their 2 nationals were not on the flight even though manifested, and are currently alive and well. Both did not book on the flight, but both had their passports stolen in Thailand within the last 2 years....

2 on board with stolen passports. Makes you wonder if it is a coincidence.

The plot thickens. Two pax on plane aren't who their passports say they are.

Really feeling for the family of pax and crew members on board. The authorities are hardly being forthcoming with news, or in that matter anything. Although MH does have an excellent safety record, their ability to deal with aircrash investigation has been under the microscope before.

How accurate would a reading from flight aware/flightradar24 be in terms of last known location? Airline sources are saying ATC lost contact with the flight two hours after takeoff. However airline tracking websites lost radar contact just 40 minutes after takeoff, with flightradar24 saying the coverage of that area during that time was good. Was the transponder turned off during flight?

The incorrect ID of two pax does lead to many questions? Two EU citizens, both having their password stolen in Thailand within the last two years, both of the same flight from KUL? It's possible, but it would also be a huge coincidence.

Despite being a large area, wouldn't one think that given the man power going into this search operation, if the plane had have broken up prior to hitting water, surely there would be at least some evidence floating on the water?

For no distress signals, seemingly no bad weather in the area, and an airline with near perfect safety record and reputation as well as one of their most experienced captains, It all points to something catastrophic or incredible pilot error.

The official last know location is 065515 North (longitude) and 1033443 East (latitude). - http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/e...dark-site.html.

Its such a shame for the families that they have no idea what has happened. It will be a long time until they know the full story.

That captain sure seemed dedicated! That was one heck of a flight simulator setup!

From two to four now. If there is truly a deliberate criminal cause in this crash, it is indeed very sad to see that there are people out there who believe that violence, and indiscriminate violence at that, can solve or bring about what they want to achieve. Will humanity ever learn?. Or is that too idealistic a hope?

Well my suspicions the usages of the fake passport may be not related to the incident. Is just happen, the syndicate is flying some people on this flight... Well purely speculation....

The two pax travelling on stolen passports were connecting to CPH and FRA.
