          • I am surprised in April, SQ is not operating to HKG!
I understand HKG has been one of the largest destination for SQ, and even there's not enough passenger demand there should be a lot of freight demand as well.

            • With Singapore going into almost a lockdown situation from next tuesay till 4 May, will SIA still be operating most of its limited flights from April to China and Europe? On SIN-HKG, Scoot is operating 3 times a week.

Air transport services, ATC services and associated ground handling and engineering services are defined as essential services under Singapore statutes, so they would be running.

                • Yes understand that ATC and airport sevices are always open, but the question is more on whether SQ will continue to operate MOST of its flights in april as scheduled

                  • Most of the flights that are scheduled to fly in the April schedule would have been planned with cargo demand in mind. Movement restriction is in effect in almost all countries worldwide and I believe SQ would have been realistic enough not to rely on pax loads to justify those flights.

SIA has been operating Cargo Flights to HKG both with passenger aircraft (SQ8250/8251/8252/8253) and cargo aircraft (SQ7868/7870/7952/7980) just to name a few.

                      • First five SIA group aircraft being relocated tonight from Changi to Alice Springs for long-term storage:

                        SQ8860 / 22:25 (B772)
                        SQ8862 / 23:10 (?)
                        TR7003 / 23:30 (A320)
                        TR7005 / 23:45 (A320)
                        SQ8864 / 23:55 (B772)

                        All aircraft are routing SIN-DRW-ASP.

Aircraft types are based on FlightAware, but we'll have the answer in a few hours anyway.

                        Sad times

                          8860 seems to be SVB
                          8862 seems to be SVC
                          8864 seems to be SVE

                          7003 will be TAU
                          7005 will be TAV

I guess we can expect to see the other remaining 772s sharing the same fate as well. SRM SQN and SVM are still stored in SIN.

Is it SQ pilots that operate these flights? And why do they have a stopover in Darwin?

Yes SQ pilots. They had to clear immigration in DRW. SQ212 (9V-SYL) now operating SYD-ASP-DRW-SIN to pick up the SQ/TR pilots and fly them home (exit immigration in DRW again).

                                What a faff.
