And SSI is still out of action so I guess that’s another reason why the old 772s will keep lingering a bit longer.

Are there more information regarding 9V-SSE 'out of action'? The last flight was 04JAN2020 SQ615 from Busan.

9V-SSE was supposed to operate SQ976|04JAN (SIN-BKK) but because of the mishap, aircraft was changed to 9V-SSC.
Singapore Airlines - A great way to fly...

Just curious, how do you get to know what the aircraft the airline is planning to use?

I think it was discussed somewhere else before, was it through the Cargo scheduling software for shipping agents?

It was hit on the forward cargo door whilst the door was open by a catering truck. The last I heard, they would be changing the door.

                • 9V-SSE is now back in service today doing SQ106/107 after her tailstrike incident last year at RGN.

9V-SSE was the aircraft that got hit by a catering truck and had the door replaced.

                    • 9V-SSB (onwards to HiFly) landed back in Changi from KUL yesterday evening and was having an engine change on the north remote apron this afternoon.

This is common practice before return to lessor, to 're-pair' the correct engine serial numbers to the aircraft, which is an end of lease condition.

Seems like SSB will soon be on its way.

Also saw 9V-SSA parked at the north remote stands on Tuesday evening in all-white livery, after a short test flight. No sign of where this one is going yet but looks like back to lessor with no onward operator at this stage?

Thanks for the correction. 9V-SSI is still out of action.
