            What's the name?

Anyone knows what is the name in English for this small komodo? In Indonesian, I think it is called biawak. Was spotted at Ritz Carlton.

              Bali Deli

Had lunch at Bali Deli with peter11, and my two friends from Jakarta. They had western food, but for me, nasi goreng is the way to go.

In Malaysia, it's called biawak as well. Have one tiny one in my mum's garden. In English, I think it is called Monitor lizard. Komodo is also an acceptable term.

Thank you SQFan for helping with resizing and posting. In the picture, UMD is on the right hand side. Looks like they had cleared the empty champagne flutes!

Believe it or not, I had one of those Biawak before. Now, this lizard really does taste like chicken especially when it is deep fried in pepper and corriander spices.

Must be from Krug on board.

And, BTW, many times now, if I order Krug, I will get Coke. Thus, I have to specify: champagne krug.

Is your speech beginning to slur merely in anticipation of the Krug-Fest, CGK?

Hmm actually it happened when LSS had a hunch that I am Indonesian moslem. Well, they usually spoke to me with Bahasa and English mixed.

Here's a pic of our little gathering on 11 July at Changi Airport - we finally got to have dinner at Soup restaurant after missing out in May.
Note the bottle of Krug in SuperJonJon's hands which CGK gave us for the 17 July DO - thanks again man !
