Right - as I have an almost complete reckoning of the flying I've done, I can actually break it down - I'm missing an estimated 400 registrations from when i was younger, but all up it's a little over 2200 individual scheduled segments, a little more if you add joyrides, and nonscheduled. That makes me quite old

The most flown type is the 777-200 and 200ER variants with 399 rides so far.

Will add the QR346, QR788, Comair ZA 73H, Mango 73H in the next 2 weeks - so something new to add.

Am regrettably still on a single 727 ride and missing the concorde, 707, 747sp and DC8 amongst others. The rest of it is here:

Plus I've flown in a Britten norman Trislander on some joyride flights, worked on a Cessna 206 Amphibious for a few months, rode a pair of citation (a C3 and C7) like a mad fool over the course of 3 weeks

As well as a few Bell 206, a single Aerospatiale AS365 dauphin ride and last but not least quite a few ultralight flights.

          What an amazing list!

You should highlight the one where you had to wear the oxygen mask!

Oxygen mask flight with free decompression (now everyone can breathe less air!) was 25 May 2010 on AK739 from BKK (yeah suvarnabhumi back then) to KUL.

Registration was 9M-AHG and my seat was 14F

Amazing record keeping, SQflyergirl, very akin to symptoms of COD.

It is not akin to OCD. It IS OCD

Jokes aside - there was one time my obsession actually had a practical purpose and saved me a bit of money as my complete set of records actually helped me prove tax residency (or rather, lack thereof)

up until the mid-90s, US airlines took children on tours of the cockpit and gave them wings. you could even ask for stationery on domestic flights. all that's history now
Yes, in fact I do remember the name of the Ken Air Tour Manager on our tour! It was too cold on that trip to wear the signature blue/white Hawaiian style Ken Air shirt, though. He is the gentleman in the suit on the far right of the picture below, which I took on the tarmac after some of our tour group deplaned from the front stairs of an Eastern Airlines 727.

Yes, even back then I was taking pics on the tarmac

On that same flight, just before deplaning, the very friendly pilot treated all the kids in our tour group to a 727 cockpit tour...love the cockpit with real dials and the large numerals "1", "2", "3", above the engine panel...

priceless memories indeed it was an era when children really fell in love with aviation and became true blue #avgeeks. a salute to the pilots of eastern, twa, northwest, etc who instilled in children a lifetime love of civil aviation.

did you collect any exotic-looking timetables from hotel lobbies during your tour?

in the states, it was a pre-911 world when you could greet loved ones at the very disembarkation gates.

you should organize some of your vintage photos into a slideshow and/or a picture book one of these days

                        Great vintage pictures yflyer!

Incidentally, the majority of the times I visited the cockpit inflight was on SQ flights, including on a 727.

Yes, a very different era! I didn't collect timetables, but did amass a whole lot of plastic airline badges and other souvenirs. No longer have them though...discarded over the years -- something I regret now!

I never got to fly TWA or Pan Am, but I did get to fly Northwest several times before they merged with Delta.

Thanks, SQGamespeed! The pics were all on 35mm negatives and prints, 36 pictures to a roll, so I didn't snap quite as many pictures as I do now on my iPhone or digital camera.

Nice to know SQ also gave cockpit tours in the past! I've got friends who are SQ pilots now, but even if I ran into them on flights, I doubt current rules would allow them to invite me into the cockpit....

                                Flight Log for 2015

End of year, so look back at how much I had travel, just go into my Flightdiary.com.....

Number of flights I took was less then in 2014 (93 flights against 68), but distance clocked was 6450 less then 2014....

Likely will be flying less in 2016, don't know whether that is good or bad.... but guess that will leave me more time to spend at home to make sure my fish tanks are thriving....

Below were the flight I had took, mostly on THAI....
