A forumer on Skyscrapercity forum read in Lionmag (Lion Air inflight magazine) March 2019 edition, that Lion Air’s subsidiary Wings Air (IW) is applying for rights to operate flight from Lampung (TKG) in Sumatra to Seletar (XSP).

I like how this is being covered by so much local media. Possible PR move to get Malaysia to get their shit together?

Malindo Air receives air traffic rights from MAVCOM to operate SZB-XSP

Malindo Air receives air traffic rights from MAVCOM to operate SZB-XSP with 42x weekly frequency (ie. 6 daily) commencing Jun 2019. Great to see some competition on this route. Firefly is charging upward of S$100 for one way XSP-SZB after the end of their promo period!

              Malindo service to Seletar

It’s the end of June now and still doesn’t hear any announcement regarding actual launch of Malindo service out of Seletar Airport.

Interestingly, in May 2019 Mavcom route applications announcement, Malindo has gotten further approval from MAVC to operate 7 weekly flight between Ipoh and Seletar with target start date in August 2019.
