Delivery next Wednesday, 3rd one due early May. Actually there should be 3 delivered in May.
I guess the B787 production line is now well established so they can really pump them out.

            Thanks!

By mid-May they'll have 5. I think we can expect some more deployment announcements fairly soon I'd reckon.

            • Hi All,

My question is: how can one do any upgrade to business class now (using KF miles) if you have a connecting flight with most aircraft having Premium Economy and 787 destinations not. I find that extremely unfair that you would have to do two separate upgrades for those destinations and think it a rather large oversight by SQ.

Yes I have made the observation when SIA announces that the 787-10 will not have PE. Similiarly think the CEO have also mentioned or hinted that the new regional A350 will not have PE too. SIA should have PE in all its new aircrafts like the 787 and A350s.

I’ll be on 970 on Tuesday 3rd April. Changed to 18K to have a window, thanks for the pointer!

The seating has actually been released albeit by Airbus rather than SQ. 40J 263Y

I agree with you on that. Perhaps not as many as the long haul birds but at least 2 rows would be good.

Will the 29 other 787's get a different product?

It is the 787-10 not the 787-1000 :-)

I'm pretty sure that the product on the first 787–10 is representative of what will be the case on the rest of their 787 fleet, and that article is simply stating the cost of outfitting the entire fleet. All the marketing and articles suggests that SQ developed their regional business class product with their 787 fleet in mind, and the Y class is simply a version of their latest product.
