  • QF C Class on A380

QF have kept their skybeds for the A380, except with a modification - they now go fully flat on a pitch of ... 80 inches !!, up from 64!!

SQ spacebeds have a pitch of about 60 inches, so the QF skybed always felt more spacious in the upright position. The legwell is also larger, and I always like the 744 QF skybed better than the SQ spacebed as it is more comfortable. The table is also much better designed and sturdy but the central armrests do not go down ....

Space efficiency = well, QF have 60 seats in the front and middle, exactly the same as SQ (but they added 12 more seats in the back section).... so for the same space efficiency, you get 2-2-2 in QF vs 1-2-1 in SQ, but a rectangular rather than diamond shaped sleeping space.

I think I would not mind either on a night flight, but on a day flight, I might actually prefer the QF seat as there are many more recline positions.
