  • What to do in SIN for 36 hours

Due to SQ cancellations I now have 36 hours in SQ... few questions:

    1. What hotel is best?
    2. What is nice to do on a Thursday... day stuff, night stuff

    Help me out please :-)

Why dont you go to a spa ?
There is a high class one at Paragon Shopping Centre.
Pay about $130 to get in..comes with 45mins massage and unlimited use of facilities (including free flow of food & drinks).

SQ $130? I probably could spend 2-3 hours there at most :-)

Hotel: Comfortable, near shopping etc. and wherever the 'buzz' is during the day
Fun: Partying on Thursdays... is it a happening night in S'Pore?

For hotels close to the action, check out Novotel Clarke Quay & Swissotel Merchant Court..

These two hotels are right on Clarke Quay and if you want to party on Thursday that's the place to be..

But all the big hotel players have hotels in Singapore and cabs are cheap as chips so getting from one place to another is quick and affordable

You're going to have to give us an idea of your budget for the Hotel. They've got all types in Singapore.

                  Another "happening" flyer?
I must be too old for this forum. I even don't know where to go if you ask me where is the "happening" place in Vancouver.

Well, depends on what kind of parties you are looking for....

For the easy catches, Orchard Towers has a party every night of the week....

On Thursday nights, some clubs have ladies nights....

Marriot,... well, right in the basement of the hotel is BarNone.... that ain't dead...

From the Marriot, walk over to Hyatt, basement bar, nice....

Cross the street, walk pass the Thai Embassy, you will have Orchard Towers... 4 floors of xxxxxxx (rhymes with doors)...... Ipanema is the recommended club... there is also a huge country music bar in the building too...

You can also add "Living Room" to the list of establishments at the Marriott which is open to about 6am - there are a number of working girls frequenting this joint.

For an overall club experience a Thursday night out is not complete without going to Zouk/Velvet Underground - Thursday nights @ Velvet Underground is aircrew night

Crikey, he'll certainly see some action if he follows that list.

It rhymes with 'doors' better that 'walls' by the way...
