  • Singapore 1st Formula one

I was in Singapore for the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix held on 28th September 2008. For the first time in F1 history the event was held at night, to satisfy the European audience. Melbourne has turned down the request for late night race, which prompted a stronger move to held F1 in Asian cities.

Spain's Fernando Alonso snapped a year-long win drought to take the Singapore Grand Prix Sunday, winning a drama-filled first ever night race as a comical error cost Felipe Massa dearly.
It was the Renault driver's first victory since the Italian Grand Prix last year and capped a remarkable weekend that saw him top two of the free practice sessions but start 15th on the grid after a mechanical problem in qualifying

      F1 comes to Singapore

After the race, these ushers cheered everyone who walked past. They showed appreciation to the F1 fans who enjoyed the last three days of events despite the heat and humidity. Can't wait until next year

              Thanks guys

The cheapest hotels in Singapore are run by Fragrance Hotels and the Hotel 81 group and are in Singapore’s Geylang which is also the Red light district but i have stayed there and felt safe enough. I will write a report when I have time
