    Executive Lounge

I got upgraded to to an executive suite which came with access to the executive lounge. Normally I think executive lounges are a waste of money as you pay a lot extra for a couple of drinks in the evening and breakfast. However I was very impressed by this one, the service was great and the different food offering throughout the day were really good.

    The Executive lounge

    The offerings for high tea

I had a lovely cream tea

There is a balcony outside were you get great views over Hong Kong

And here are some of the views

From the border crossing at Gaza to the Four Seasons HK: that's quite a change in scenery, Lobster.

A wonderful hotel to stay in, with wonderful views of the territory as well.

Excellent TR, Lobster. In your opinion is the FS now the best hotel in HK -- surpassing the Peninsula?

I have only stayed in the Peninsual once many years ago. Personally I prefer the FS. For me the design of the rooms is much more to my taste. But the real thing I did not like about the Pen was that I felt like I was part of a tourist site. Having breakfast in the Loby you were surrounded by tourists pointing and taking photos.

However if I was going to spend most of my time in Kowloon then I would not stay in the FS as it is quite a walk to the MTR. The central station is the other side of the IFC mall to the hotel and then when you enter the station unless you are using the airpport express it is still quite a walk to the actual train lines.

If they keep reclaiming land from the harbor, it will be more of a river than a harbor.

I rememember back in '85, the top of Victoria Peak only had the Peak Cafe.

                          regards
