    London Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel

    LONDON PARK LANE
    InterContinental
    ONE HAMILTON PLACE
    PARK LANE
    LONDON, W1J 7QY
    44-20-74093131

The hotel was just renovated this year. From the map, the location is near to Hyde Park Corner tube station. But actually IMHO, it's easier to reach the hotel via Green Park station. Walk a bit longer, but a nice stroll. From Green Park, you will pass Sheraton Park Lane, then Hard Rock Cafe, and Intercontinental is the next corner. When you reach the hotel from Hyde Park Corner station, you will see many homeless around. In fact, at night, in certain parts of this hotel, there are homeless who sleeps. Of course it's not in the main entrance area.

I got upgraded from the lowest room to the next level, which is deluxe. The weekend rate is inclusive of breakfast. It was really a great breakfast we had. Yeah, I invited SQFAN to join the breakfast. Well, definitely this hotel is not for KeithMEL, the W lover.

Here are some pictures I have taken. (Note: I am not a professional photographer... and I was in a hurry to go out for night life.

          And I agree with you.
Then again in certain places there's not really a choice, particularly in European cities.

Actually the lobby and the restaurant where we had breakfast are very modern looking...

One of my favorites. Because that's where my SQTalk buddies frequently stay when they drop by for a quick visit.

Nice pictures, CGK, thanks for sharing. The room at the InterCon Park Lane looks quite nice.

As to the homeless around the Park Lane, you mean they are sleeping around some of the entrances?

Yes, sleeping against the wall between the columns of the hotel on the Piccadilly side and Hyde Park. Of course not in the main side where the entrance is.

While I was at CGK's hotel (IC) mooching around for a free breakfast , I took the following pictures:-

View from his hotel room. Sorry I focussed wrongly and screw up the white balance.

                            From the breakfast Bar
