  • Transit Hotel Making Me Angry!

I booked a block of time in the Transit hotel.....last week maybe. Now apparently they should reply. But im yet to get a reply from them! Im not travelling to November, but the thing is, i arrive at 5am and leave again at 11am, so i really want to sleep for a bit in the hotel, but they wont get back to me! GRRR.

Anybody else had this problem? What should i do

How about trying to call them? and check if they have your reservation confirmed.

I know someone who's been waiting to hear from them since 19September (with a follow-up request sent the beginning of October).

I used their booking system once and there was no problem...They responded fairly quick...probably its just there's a high demand for rooms atm...

They've usually responded to me after about 2 weeks, by which time I've usually forgotten that I'd submitted their online request.

Transit Hotel Making Me Angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

I've never used the Transit Hotel myself, but I've heard lots of anecdotes about how slow they are to respond.

I assume this is just due to the fact that there is such a high demand for rooms, but it doesn't fit well with the image of Changi as a super-efficient airport.

That's typically been my experience, whether they confirmed the reservation or not.

Agree with all... Transit Hotel is the weakest part of Changi. This year I don't think I have anything confirmed via e-mail or by going personally to their office. It's always fully booked. That's one of the reason why I had been at Hotel SKL too many times this year.
Even when the SKL staff called them on my behalf, many times they even did not call back to inform the staff that the waitlist was not cleared.

Let's just wait till Crowne Plaza opens in March 2008.

Best bet is to call them.

In the past, they have always got back to me rather promptly after I filled in an on-line reservation. YMMV.

                        Thanks for the replies guys.

Ive heard the same thing, it takes about 2 weeks for them to reply. All i care is that the confirm it, dont really care how long it takes! But yes i agree, i am ratehr dissappointed in the service, weakest part of Changi indeed!

Well i still havent heard anything so i dropped them another email i dont have time to ring them, i have exams at the moment. So either they reply to my email, or i just turn up on the day!

On another note, im flying SQ, which hotel will i be at, terminal 1 or 2? I forgot

This November, SQ will still be departing solely from T2. Which hotel you're going to stay in (if indeed you do have a reservation) presumably depends where you booked ?

Hmm this is true! i think they will proberly figure out what Terminal you will arrive at, because you have to enter what flight your arriving on and departing on.
