    At about 0010,Announcement was made and we were informed the boarding would be delayed due to shortened flying time.




    NRT SP Tomoku leaded me to my seat 2A and introduced everything about the new seat to me.

      1A and 1K


      Loading in F is 7/9. 1K and 4D were blocked due to the PTV problem and mechanical problem respectively.








      Hot towel,not a perfect one though


      CX's Salmon Caviar. It is very boring for frequent CX F traveler. Hope CX could set one more choice to pax. SP didn't plate it on the trolley but inside the gallery instead.


      I am not a Caviar Fans,so only more Balik salmon.


      Grilled Prawn with butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes and frisee


      Nothing to do when I was waiting for the main course. So just took few shots of the new F guide

        Grilled Beef tenderloin with red wine sauce, carrot puree,spinach and pont neuf potatoes.One of the best beef dishes I had onboard.


        Baked Cheesecake with vanlilla sauce was not available on this flight,so I skipped the cheese and dessert. Turn down service is available in this generation F. The crew would place a mattress and duvet and make the seat to bed mode. Sorry for not taking the bed mode and toilet photos. The seat itseif is very soft and more comfortable than a single bed. However probably due to the height of partition, the F cabin was not as cool as the F flight I had in Nov 06. Although I did not sleep as well as at home, I did keep staying in bed mode till breakfast time.

        Braised beef rib fingers and Chinese greens in noodles soup,which is a choice of Chinese Favourites in the Supper Menu. But I ordered it as my breakfast. Wooden Chop sticks are used in F


        Anyone knows what this Japanese brand is?


        Pan-fried pork susuage,potato cake with cheddar cheese,grilled lamb noisette and freshly scarambled eggs


        Tiny storage and a reading lamp on my right hand side. There is other reading lamp on my left hand side as well.

          Is it a good scale to show the depth of the F seat on upright mode?

          The flight was landed at 0615. Time to say good bye to my F seat. This is the first time in my life not willing to leave the plane > <

          Empty LHR T3, I was the only pax when I first stepped into the immigration hall




          It is a very nice trip. The service was superb (only 20% of my CX flights are worth 5 stars). I was asked to have a try of the new J.However the J cabin was full. I could not try it until captain's mum going into the cockpit. After spending few mins on it and the introduction of UD SP, it is actually not that bad. It is a good bed but not a good seat. Well,it is unfair to comment the J after sitting in the widest F for 10 hrs. Hope I could try it next week coming back to HKG. Thanks everyone!

            ny911: fantastic pictures, and thanks very much for sharing them with us. Sounds like CX F lived up to its billing as one of the best travel experiences out there.

            Like you, I would've been wishing for an extension of the journey.

              Could you elaborate on this? Did you find it as narrow as others had described? In your opinion, what made it not such a good seat?

              (The reason I'm curious is that this is the seat for which I would most likely be able to aim my miles redemptions.)

                I felt it is much narrower after sitting in F for 10 hrs. Well, I normally read some newspapers and magazines during take off and landing ( when CX IFE is not available). My hands must hit the partition if I flip the newspapers as usual in my comfort mode. Yes,might be I am quite fat. But not only myself complaining this problem,also other pax do. Comparing with the old J,it at least is a flat bed which is good for sleep. The pillow is bigger and softer than the old one,but no turndown service. I would recommend you to assign 81A (the first row of UD). Besides the overhead compartment,there's a box between the seat and the wall,which enables you to store some of your personal stuffs.

                    ny911, any chance you have a pic of the amenity kit?
                    I wonder if it is still the same grey Victorinox bag or an updated version.

                    Heard from the ISM on my flight last week, that CX is cutting one crew in new First and one crew on UD in new Business. Do you feel any difference in service level?

                          Thanks ny911. Can you comment on the inflight service and do show us a few pictures of the amenity kit and PJ, if you have them. Are the PJ Shanghai Tang ones?

                          Gosh, the F cabin design is quite cocoon-like.

                              wow im impressed. thanks for sharing. make me really want to try new CX F to LHR. Its really private from your pictures and look bigger and more private than new SQ F. The look of new SQ F is rather short or catastrophic for a tall individual. How is the CX new lavatory for F? heared that it is rather innovative too
