Upgrade ? Hah, didn't I say that if you get on with the crew well enough, it might happen ?

      Cheers for the report!

28B - that's high J config hey? Is it only blocked for BA Gold? I've tried to book it a few times but to no avail. Then again this was before the 'enhanced' seating policy came into effect so it might be different now.

Unfortunately they only send a 777 and low J to SYD. I managed to score 17B (low J) and 21B (777) for all my flights this year on MMB though. Now hoping that the low J plane will morph into mid J. (ducks for cover from angry Club World pax)

Congrats on the upgrade...very very nice pics as usual

I also got an upgrade from DPS-HKG on Traitors Air during the weekend...lots of tourists and plane was overbooked, so, the check-in lady upgraded me to the upper-deck That's the second upgrade Y->J on Traitors Air for the past 6 mths and nil so far on SQ ...and I am now that close to MPC Silver

Lovely pics, SQFAN. And congrats on the upgrade! The upgrade potential (on medium- to long-haul routes) is one of the best perks of BA Gold, IMO.

28B is in WT+. Yes, I think it is blocked off for BA Gold.

Personally, I think it is a bit more tedious with SQ as I seemed to have to call SQ for seat selection all the time despite sending in my Seat Preference Form. Maybe it is the way I booked my tix. With BA, it was as simple a choosing my seats as I bought my tix online.

Have to admit that I was pretty chuffed as it was unexpected. Despite all these, SQ service and IFE still beats BA anytime.

For instance, with BA it's only one glass of champagne pretake-off unless the crew knows you (based on a total of 6 lifetime flights - small sample size). With SQ, it is a function of how fast you can quench your thirst. Trust me, I am no alcoholic. Hic.

You mean you did a tier point run ?.

Maybe SQ is just used to the level of champagne consumption among its premium cabin passengers. I still remember the CX FA's face when I asked for a top-up before takeoff: "My, you do like your champagne!"

It was a hot day in Singapore. I got thirsty.

Sorry for not being clear - I knew it was WTP but I referred to high/mid/low J because the size of the J cabin (72/52/38 seats respectively IIRC) differentiates the row numbers in WTP. And if I'm not wrong - only high J 744s have that solo seat in WTP. I've not come across the mid J planes yet though.

Yeah - hovering from 35 to 40 degrees C. Quite manageable really. Humidity was OK for me. It was the brightness that mattered and the light brownish / white coloured buildings reflected the sun rays...and I didn't bring my

OIC...I am not that clued up on Traitor Alliance but as time goes on, I will be. I just looked at my flight seat configuration and did not look/compare at/with others with H/M/L J seating. Thanks for educating a OW newbie.
