  • Enhanced Security Screening for US flights

Just wondering if anybody has flown on SQ32 since the enhanced screening was implemented this week? Am flying next week so I'm trying to find out how much extra time we need to allow for this. thanks.

would also like the same question for SQ 2. Looks like in the past few days there has been consistent delays. Is this due to the additional security screening? And if there's any changes to the security screening procedures at HKG.

While I do not know about this occurring in Singapore (I guess this is new), when I flew back in January, from HKG, you have additional screening at the gate, in which if the flight is full can take a while.

SQ2 seems to be going back to its on-time levels. Only a few days it's gone through delayed departures.

I flew back on SQ1 last week, and I was told SQ2 was delayed into SFO due to weather at HKG airport....

I remember that happened to me once, when it was a 744. Flight got retimed to 5:50AM (Back then SQ2 departed at 5:50PM, instead of 6PM) and this was in August 2008, then once weather situation changed our flight left at 9PM, and we got to SFO at midnight.

Is it typhoon season? I think IIRC, it was Typhoon Nuri that affected all HKG flights at the time I went
