Can I change my flight on kris flyer redemption later?

I will be going to SYD early next year and I'm just wondering if I'm redeeming KF miles, can I switch my flight to another flight in the same booking later on? Basically I'm seeing whether it's possible to make a booking now and switch over to the new A380 with the 6 suites on the upper deck when the flights are announced later in the year.

If they want to protect their new Suites product, then it is unlikely you will be allowed to change. They could always re-accommodate you in one of those First on the 77W anyway.

I think I was unclear, but I was asking about whether the possibility of switching over to the new flight regardless of class, would be available. I assume it should be?

Not sure what are you trying to do here.

1) To redeem your SYD flight first, then change the booking to that of the new suites when announced?
- Standard award change rules apply, if they even open up the new suites for redemption or even waitlist, or you might have to pay standard/full rates

2) To redeem your SYD flight in first/old suites. Then try to standby for the earlier flight at the airport (which has the new suites)?
- You can always try your luck, if there's empty space and they allow you to standby.

3) Book SYD flight now in the old suites and hope that particular flight changes to the new suites?
- All comes down to luck, they should honor the original booking class.

I was going for option 1. Looks like it doesn't seem likely at all that that would happen.. Thanks anyways!
