In-Seat telephone

Hi, has anyone tried the in-seat telephone before, where seat to seat calls are apparently free?

I managed to redeem tickets to LHR a while back but the kids and I will be in different cabins. Just wondering if this actually works as I've never tried it before in all my flights with SQ since we usually sit together.

I have used it. I was mucking about with my brother who was sat next to me on a long flight. I think you have to enable it on the IFE to receive calls.

Yep, works pretty well usually! Although I haven't managed to figure it out on the newer KrisWorld (77WN and A359). Maybe the feature was removed?

Works fine on the older KrisWorld.

Thanks!! Not sure yet what aircraft we will be taking to LHR (our flight is only in June), but we will be on the A380 coming back from CDG.

I hope the kids (15 & 13 yo) will be as excited as I am to try out the telephone!

If its SQ318/SQ306, you should be on a 77WN/77WR respectively, unless its late June, then i believe one of them will go A380 (i think its SQ318).

We are booked to fly on 306, first week of June.

Ah then it should be a 77WR. When i flew to London last year in the same week i was considering flying SQ306, though i eventually took SQ318 as the timing was more preferable for me.

You definitely would, if you're like me. After all, even 3D Maps can only entertain for so long.....
