"Kampung Guy" Going South errr North, errr Both North and South...

All began when this "kampung guy" got an email (yes... even he's living in a "kampung", he knew computer and internet lahhh... he's not that "udik" lahh... ), invitation for IDEM at Singapore on late April'12...
That was an opportunity for him to take a break from the routine, plowing his "sawah" or "paddy fields"...
And being him, it's not enough just going to Singapore...
He must maximized his hard to get break time...
He took the globe (yes... he has a globe at his "kampung" house... )...
Spinned it, and stopped it with his finger.
Eenie meenie minie moe....
His finger landed at south pacific region...
Around Melanesia...
Hmmm.... what is interesting country there?
Marshall Island? Fiji? or...
His option came to Fiji Islands...
He's never been there... And it's sound nice...
Fiji... just like the artisan water, FIJI....

And now... how to get there?
And what's the longest possible route to get there for the minimal KF miles redemption?
(this "kampung guy" loves flying... if there's a longer route, why must take the short one? )
Clickata clickatee.... ooohhh computer... what's is the longest route to Fiji for the minimum KF miles?
Computer said: depart from BKK...
Yay!! ... now he knew his starting point for the redemption ticket...
But he also need to go to HKG first....
So... for the final route for him was: SUB-HKG-BKK-SYD-AKL-NAN-AKL-SIN-SUB.

He's so exciting about this trip...

So... how's his trip? How's the flights? How's the hotels? How's the food?

This "kampung guy" story began at one fine early morning on mid April'12 at Juanda International Airport (SUB).

CX check in counters were looked not busy at that time... especially the business class counter...





The check in process was fast, and soon this "kampung guy" has got his BP, along with invitation to the one and only lounge there...


The immigration on the second floor also quite empty...
Only took one minute for this "kampung guy" to clear the immigration...




Right after the immigration, we can see this very simple FIDS...
(consisted only 4 lines... )




After that, we can see this long hall of the terminal...
SUB terminal building literally is one single long building, divided into the longer domestic one and the shorter international one...





Ahhhh... they have this device there.... nice one...
So... heart attack anyone?





They also have this separated trash cans.... a rare sight in Indonesia...

And here are the one and only International Lounge in SUB... Trowulan Lounge...



We can use our certain credit cards perk to get into this lounge, also Priority Pass...
And we can also pay in cash to get into this lounge... it's only IDR 100.000, about USD 11.




This lounge was divided into 2 sections, the common lounge and the business/first lounge.




All the non-business class pax only have access into the common lounge, and only the business class pax that have access into both sections...
There's a chap from the lounge that frequently popped up at the business section to check the new inhabitant there...

Looking so many food there, this "kampung guy" couldn't resist himself... (hey... he's from "kampung"... and in "kampung" there's not so many food option available.... poor "kampung guy"... )
Just look at what he got for his "little" breakfast...




Now it's time for him to go to the gate...
The plane has been ready at the gate... (hey... the plane was overnight there, off course it's been ready at the gate... )




Ahhh... same old A330-300... old regional biz class seats...

But wait...
Look at the rego....
It's B-LAH...
It's A33B... the one that designated for the OZ route... the one with herring bone biz class seats....



Ok... it's "coffin" seats... but it's much much much better than the old old old regional biz class seats...

The waiting room was packed with the CX's HKG bound pax...

Not for long, it's now time to board the aircraft...

Being "kampung guy", he always wanted to be the first one to be on board...
So he rushed walked to the plane...

He was greeted by the FA at the door, but no escort service to the seat...
Ah well... it's only J class, not F class... so it's understandable...

Wait.... what he was doing back there?
He was not suppose to be there....

Ok... lets pull him back to the front cabin...
Errr... actually not to the real front cabin, but the cabin after door 2...
Here is his seat on the first row on the second biz class cabin...

Welcome drink.... OJ... not freshly squeezed... but OK lah...





The boarding process was almost done... but no other pax was sitting at that second biz class cabin... only this "kampung guy" alone...
This "kampung guy" felt chilled being alone back there...

So he spoke to the nice FA, if there was an empty seat at the front cabin...
With a big smile she replied, "I thought you never ask... hahaha... We have couples of empty seat at the front, and you can move there, or we will forget you back here on the entire flight... hahaha..."

Nice FA with a good sense of humor...


And then this "kampung guy" brought all of his "treasures" with him to move the front cabin seat...

Now the boarding process has been completed...
They're ready to push back...




The safety demo video now was on the screen....

After it's been completed, the plane pushed back....

Now the plane was on position... ready to rolling....

Roaaarrrrrr...... the engines were roaring with maximum power to push the plane to ride the wind to defy the gravity to fly to the sky.....
(aiyoooo.... so many to leh... )

Brrrmmmmmmmm...... Roaaarrrr......... Wushhhhhh....
