  • Hotel options at MAN airport

    Hi all, need some help.

Was thinking of getting an airport hotel in MAN, either Hilton/Radisson Blu to crash for the night before the flight. Which is a better hotel, or anyone has other suggestions?

i can't say for sure, but just going off the websites for each hotel, I would personally choose the Hilton, everytime.
I prefer the look of the rooms at the hilton - radisson says you'll get one of four styles....sounds like a mishmash and not very cohesive.
The Hilton does provide a 5min free airport transfer, so there's not a huge amount in it. Perhaps let your wallet decide, seeing as you only need it for the night before to rest up.
If God had really intended men to fly, he'd make it easier to get to the airport.

Do you have to stay near the airport? You could stay at the City Inn next to Manchester Piccadilly, spend the night out in town and take a train straight to the airport next morning.

Thanks for replying. Not that I need to stay at the airport hotel, but SQ327 departs at 0910hrs. So any amount of extra sleep will be good!

Javaman, have you stayed at the Hilton? Is it any good or is it a dump? One thing though.. Its not connected to the airport terminal, and the price difference is GBP 5.

Savage25, I'll check out the City Inn at Manchester Picadilly. Perhaps I'll have to let my wallet do the talking.

If its not too late to suggest, then the Radisson it would be. Literally 2 mins British walking with luggage. Heck, you could go back to sleep/breaky after chk in at 6am+.

I think Radisson Blu is OK. I stayed there on 21 Aug and find everything is alright...

Thanks all for your responses. I'll book Raidisson Blue then. More convenient I guess. The flight is not till December. =)
