KrisFlyer Feedback Session

-
26th of August, in Singapore. Here's the gist of it:
Your input and opinion would be invaluable to us and we would like to invite you to share your thoughts and feedback on the new features of the programme.
The feedback session will be held in the form of a focus group discussion with a moderator from our Customer Research Department. The focus will be on exploring your views on the new features and what you see as improvements over the current features in the KrisFlyer programme.
Oh, there's a link too:

I wonder if there's going to be a horde of angry PPS members there... Might be interesting.

I would hope number one on the list of everybody who goes will be to ask them to explain the ridiculous ongoing ban on saver redemptions on J class on the 77W and 380. I won't refer to the cabin as new as it no longer is.
Oh, and ask them why members of LH's M&M can get saver awards in those cabins, but their own FFP members - including their very own top tier QPP's and TPP's - are still banned.

Maybe one of the new enhancements will be SQ will take them off all other flights instead of introducing them onto the flights they should have been on years ago.
It will be interesting to see what the latest enhancements will cost us all.

I am concerned that SIA keeps replacing the aircraft thereby limiting J saver redemptions whilst at the same time increasing the opportunties to earn FFP through partner programs such as the Westpac Premium Krisflyer Credit Card. Simple supply and demand indicates that there will be fewer opportunities for individual PAXs to obtain J saver redemptions.
The extensive availability of J saver redemptions may be thing of a past. My other concern is that the "new Krisflyer members" may consider the current J redemption availabilty "as normal." If that is the case SIA will have no compulsion to make any changes. It would be interesting to know how may Krisflyer members are regularly opting for J Standard redemptions.
I believe that SIA will continue to endeavour over time to reduce the availability of J saver redemptons as the number of Krisflyer points issued in the World increases and they replace the airport.
There needs to be a "big bang" in the airline indiustry to get SIA to change such as another airline providing a better offer on the value curve.

I wonder why I didn't get invited. Oh, that's right - probably because I'd be pointing out just about everything they've been doing wrong and Eileen doesn't want to see me...
They are going to get a bunch of people who are more thrilled about getting the $100 and who probably don't fly frequently enough to even matter. Please, someone here prove me wrong. (preferably someone who's at least QPP... but then again, I doubt QPPs need $100 to defray travel expenses)
An exercise doomed from the start is what this smells like - I wonder what would happen if I were to turn up just for fun out of nowhere... "oh, but sir, you're not on the mailing list, even if you're a KF member your opinion doesn't count in this particular instance"
If they were at all serious about conducting actual, scientific research into real enhancements drawn from a reasonable sample size, they'd have sent the mailer to everyone but limited the offer to the first (let's say) 1,000 KF members who confirmed. Or even 200-300 KF members (fair enough, times are still supposed to be tough)...
An utter joke.

I hope someone would leak the questions being asked, but I suspect that would likely violate a non-disclosure agreement.Last edited by jjpb3; 10 August 2010, 04:06 AM.‘Lean into the sharp points’
