The mirror will reveal all in good time...

It seems like it has been a long time since SQ has announced anything that will make us happier

There was the 787 order last year.

The mirror says as business traveler, you will be happier with the new enhancement. It's not from your own money. It's business. But for individual/leisure SQ travelers like Lobster, jjpb3, me, and others , the latest enhancement rumours would make us think for alternatives, and PPS would not fit for us to pursue.

Note to SQ Lurkers: I definitely don't feel loved with the latest news around (and you know exactly what I meant, since I am not going to reveal what the mirror has told me ), and SQ would put my loyalty down the drain. But before it happens, I will pay attention closely, and hope SQ does the same. Just remember that not all flyers are working for multinational corporations.

To SQ : Just to echo CGK's sentiment. Mine is hard earned cash and I travel on SQ for pleasure. Currently, my brand loyalty is towards SQ but I am not sure in the future given the various 'enhanced away' PPS/Loyalty benefits.

Indeed....if SQ is going to increase the requirements for PPS, I am seriously thinking twice on whether to qualify for it this year

I still have brand loyalty towards SQ (particularly for business-related matters), partially because I might be moving back to SG this coming June. However, if non-business travellers are to be marginalized, I will seriously consider other airlines like TG if I were to use my own money for leisurely travels on the premium cabins.

If they cut CGK as a PPS route, I will NOT be happy. It's already ridiculously expensive as is for Y. I can't afford C or F. And for a 90 minute flight!
Given that there are so many Indonesian-based PPS members, I think they would still keep CGK as a PPS route. I am praying for that too
If they cut that as a PPS sector, then, I only have SUB or SOLO to bank on for PPS qualification

                Please...SQ...don't make US unhappy!!

The only PPS benefits that are at all useful to me are:
                  - clearing waitlists
                  - access to the F SKL with a C ticket

If SQ change the rules in such a way that I stop qualifying, I'll book fewer flights with SQ, but life will go on. I won't go out of my way to avoid SQ.

I'm seriously considering switching entirely to BA and flying BA-CX-JL and their partners, especially after my last experiences both on BA and CX. SQ is better on board - i know this - but globally BA-CX provide exactly what i need in terms of network, Status benefits, on board standards, FFP and so on.
Therefore, considering the possible changes, i'm looking seriously somewhere else

There's only One way to fly.... SINGAPORE AIRLINES!
If SQ is too expensive, the other way to fly is Qatar Airways

Like LukeGT, if PPS changes so that I can't realistically requalify, it'll probably mean that I drop *A status entirely and concentrate on OW. I'll still continue to take SQ but only if to SIN and nearby and then - hopefully - I'll be in J so no real need for status.

Looking at my flights last year, all of my *A flights were for the purpose of getting *A status and there's nothing there which can't be replaced by OW. That may change slightly when/if FM and CA join *A but on the other hand, Chinese domestic F flights are so cheap that there's no need for status.

Perhaps it'll be a good thing - more weekends at home rather than, over the past 10 months, lots of flights (by my low standards anyway) to reach SQ PPS and BA (UK) gold (with no tier point earning trips to the Middle East or KUP's across the US either!).

I won't go out of my way to avoid them but I will no longer go out of my way to fly on SQ which I have done in the past

                                There are frequent individual travellers,
And there are also in-frequent business travellers.

Both of the above should also be treasured and cherished. Can SQ/PPS balanced this two types of travellers to maintain loyalty and enhanced profitablity?
