Guest repliedAll in all, this only goes to show that in this business where companies will do anything to turn a profitt, their only loyalty is the the mighty buck, and that customers are only a neccesary evil to reach that buck.
Loyalty only pays when it goes two ways.

interesting...when KA's Elite program was ended and members migrated into CX's Marco Polo Club, I was thinking whether there would be people filing law suits against CX/KA too...afterall, I think that case was even worse than this:
- you get the notice in mid-Nov 2006 telling you that the Elite program is ending by end of 2006, just 1.5 months notice
- you will get "similar" status with CX's MPO club based on your flying with KA from Dec 2005 to Nov 2006 - basically, no time for you to "plan" at all, when you were told, basically there's only 10-20 days left
- the Plat members have 3-year membership, many not ending until at least 2008 or 2009...but with they "ending" the Elite program and not "merging" with MPO, they are not honoring these memberships anymore...if you haven't flown much between Dec 2005 and Nov 2006, even if you have Plat membership until 2008, you could become a lowest level Green members - I do have friends become Silver members at least
- and most/all Plat members became at most Gold members only...many of the top-tier benefits I got while flying KA become 2nd-tier...e.g. waitlist, check-in, upgrade, etc...supposedly my top-priority benefits will last till 2008 (when I tried to requalify for it, I thought according to the terms I have it till 2008), but all of a sudden, everything stopped, just after 1.5 months after you were notified about it...

Guest repliedI wonder if the "lawsuit" would get better play in America? It would certainly cost SQ much more to fight there...........
