And attention Kyo, did you leave anything in PEK again, I am now again in PEK. Hope I don't need to bring back anything for you this time...

I'm not sure about the daytime but if my suspicions are true, its a matter of spreading flight slots to ease congestion.
The peak times now are roughly 6am-8am in the morning, 5pm-7pm in the evening and a third wave of widebodies at 9pm-11pm.

SQ 15 arrived in Singapore close to 6am today, over 4 hours delay in ICN, not sure what happened, could be technical fault with the 77W.

Flights are timed the way they are for good reasons. Changing the times can kill loads or yields or both.

The third runway will need to open to commercial use before Terminal 4 opens.

There is a master plan for the airport which existed when T1 was first built. Thats why the area around the airport was empty.

Look at how fast Singapore built MBS and RWS. I'm sure they can do it if they wanted to.

Morning time in SIN is rush hour for regional departures - my 9.50am flight to Hanoi queued for 35mins to get to the runway and there was a whole long line of planes queueing behind. Also around this time runway 02L/20R is scheduled to be closed for inspection (20-40min) which may add to the jam.
