    I think it has to do with the nasty storm(s) sweeping through southern Ontario, the Maritimes (in Canada), and basically the entire north-eastern seaboard in the US, plus Chicago.

    Not good news for Queensland!

    Cyclone Yasi, due to hit the Australian coast as early as Wednesday, is being described as a "deadly event" (its about 500km in size) and will be the second to hit Queensland this week. The first cyclone, Cyclone Anthony weakened quickly after hitting land on Monday morning.

    Severe Tropical Cyclone Bianca continues to move in a southwest direction away from the northwest.
    Heading down to Perth the last I heard.

    A friend of mine flew out of SIN today, apparently his flight was struck by lightning (wing) and had to return to SIN...

    Not sure if he was flying SQ, as I neglected to ask

    Whoa, just missed you (probably flew right by each other). PEK was freezing on Sat, and slightly better on Sun. feb01mel, would you mind if I ask you to pick something up for me that I left at my hotel last night back to Singapore? (was rushing for a taxi)

    Came in at 6:15, rain was pouring down heavily, but had one of the smoothest landings I've had in the past year - full credit to the pilot! Suppose weather was to blame?
