Krisworld keeps breaking down?

Yesterday evening on SQ185 SGN-SIN (2-Class 772 IIRC) in C and IFE worked for the first 10mins maybe before they announced that they had issues with it and needed to restart it for the entire cabin (C + Y). By the time it was up again we were almost starting the decend into SIN and even then it was still hanging and acting up. Some C pax did bit*h about it quite a bit, but I couldn't be bothered. Just asked for more glasses of Bollinger Special Cuvee and some of the Dr. Loosen Riesling

The food on the other hand was a different story and it is not a great one but then I digress. Crew was very nice and helpful though and the bubbly kept pouring so I was silenced sufficiently.

After my last experience posted above from Paris-SIN, I wrote to SQ (which I never normally do). I explained what happened and how it seems to now be common place. I got a rather generic reply apologising for the inconvenience but not really admitting that there seemed to be a larger problem than a one off. A small compensation of a few airmiles as a token, but that was it.

Given the increasing unreliability (and price) of SQ these days, I am actually considering to change a bunch of flights to LH (I thought I would never say that !!). On top of these issues, I have so much credit for my TPP for the next few years, that I might as well start earning some credit elsewhere as SQ seem to offer less and less.

Done. I also wrote about the quite poor food quality they serve in C Intra Asia these days which bugs me even more. The fish on SGN-SIN tasted so awfull and old and almost rancid that I left the entire plate untouched. Thank god for the two garlic bread slices When I arrived in SIN I was bored (no IFE) and hungry (bad food) - and that in SQ C
