  • Suite Boarding Pass

    Hi,

From the trip reports I have read, SIA seems to have a boarding pass different from the regular red first class boarding pass for their Suites passengers. Just wondering if these Suites boarding passes will only be issued when flying out of Singapore or if they will also be issued into Singapore.

Both ways. Also, some stations, like KUL (I'm sure there are many others), can also issue onward Gold Suites BP's there.

I know SUB can't issue suite pass... err.. not even First Class if I remember, they have to write the BP manually they said the First Class BP is to big for the printer??

Not so surprising as SUB is only serviced by Silkair

Looks like SQ has overlooked another cost cutting measure:

Lufthansa used to have yellow boarding passes for C and J and red ones for F. They cut that and all boarding passes are just yellow. No hazzle with inventory management: you just have boarding passes or you don't.

Lufthansa Private Jet uses the yellow ones as well: but you get an exclusive handwritten one, no printing...

SQ has green, blue, red and gold. Cut down to one color and you can save a lot of money.

Or go like LX and have it white with just a big alphabet showing class of travel.
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

CX, BA have adopted this as well.

CX has three different colored boxes, red, blue and green, where seat numbers are printed in. I think that's a good idea.

I for one, think that having a single type BP loses its class. I personally feel more confident holding a flashy red/blue/gold BP than a white one

Agreed. However, if you want a single BP stock, CX's approach is better than a plain one for all.

Thanks for the replies. Is it possible to request for 2 identical boarding passes during check in?

How about a Suites BP on Economy stock?

Do they have a reason to give me a green Suites BP?

That reminds me, does SQ still use the TPP Green BP when TPPs fly in Y?

I want 2 boarding passes because I want to keep 1 as a souvenir, if that is possible.
