  • 14K SQ A380 - Is this a good seat???

    Hi Guys,

I am going to Asia in May & booked on SQ220 which is now a A380.

I have not been lucky enough to fly the A380 in J up until now

So i need help picking the perfect seat. I am now confirmed in seat 14K. Is this a good seat???

Thanks for your help in advance!!!

It's at the front of the aircraft. You are both in a window and an aisle seat. It should be good.

Is there really a need to post this?

      To OP:

14K is a decent seat. It's in the mini J cabin. You might want to consider 17 as well, it's in the main J cabin a tad too close to the galleys but I doubt it will be much of a concern as it's a day flight.

Is 17A or K available ?. They are bulkheads with windows (unlike windowless 11A/K), the only problem is they are next to the galley, but that can actually be fun as you can watch (and listen to) them in action.

As Nick C has indicated, I am sure he is aware of that. It's usually better not to post for the sake of it with advice that is seemingly internet researched rather than from first had experience.

It does seem to be a bit of a recent habit on here.....

In my limited experience, 11K is a good seat for me. Even though there's no window, it makes for a good night's sleep as it's far from the madding crowd but only for a red-eye I might add. The narrower width doesn't bother me much as I'm skinny. Also it's near enough to the lav, which is good for me as I drink copious amounts of water (in addition to the Shiraz). The only potential problem I can foresee is a baby at 11D/F. It hasn't happened to me yet, but it could.
Have you checked your blind spot lately?

            Thanks for your feedback guys.

The only problem i have with bulkhead 11A/K or 17/AK is knowing my luck there will be a screaming baby close to me for the whole flight

I like the sound of 14K being in the Mini J cabin.

            Cheers.

              Agreed. Quality, not quantity.

              SQ221, I'm in 14K in June.
F all the way. Settle for J. Usually whY. Sigh.
