question on SQ 77W F: 1 A/F vs 2 A/F

hey thanks everyone for the insights and suggestions; will settle for 2A for time being and look fwd to the experience

On a dayflight, row 1 might be nicer as the footroom is unobstructed and you can stretch out.
For overnight flights, you migth prefer no intrusions around your head for sleeping - then row 2 is better.
If SQ hadn't cut the seatpitch, the F product would be a lot better - these intrusions are acceptable in J but not in F.

I've sat in both 2A and 2F on the 77W and enjoyed both.
I typically will avoid the first row, but the one time I was in 1C, it wasn't that bad either.

if THAT's what you call them ....Originally posted by HUGE AL View PostAnd she travels with celebrities to boot!
What are you smoking these days old chap?
but to bring things nominally back on topic: I'm with Kyo+ here. 2A or 2F work fine for me. Someone once said that all seats are not created equal (within a cabin) That is true for the most part - for SQ 77W F the rule isn't quite true as the differences are small.

Me thinks you have to brush up on your astronomy. Earth only has one, and it "ain't" blue.Originally posted by Kyo View Postmethinks you have a few too many blue moons...

Yes, all the time in fact. The last 6 flights I took were on a Malaysia Airlines 737-400 in Suites 16D, 23A, 23F and an SQ A330-300 in Suites 48A,31K and 47D. I'd have written trip reports about them except for the fact that i was enjoying myself so much wedged up between Mr T and Lou Ferrigno that I didn't feel like clambering over 2 people to get out of my suite to get the camera.Originally posted by HUGE AL View PostAhhh...you forget that she only flies Suites now.

If i get the chance to fly F which happens once in a blue moon - I'm grateful for any seat. Better than either 45K or a poke in the eye I say

I prefer 2A because the galley is on the right hand side (where 1F and 2F is), so crew tend to move up and down more on the right hand side.Originally posted by Kyo View Post2F is my preference.
Haha...I prefer the crew to walk a slightly longer distance to my seat.
