Compare with other airlines, I think SQ is still not bad. Overated...maybe yes

I'm with Megatop on this. But still, service is top notch!

Overated and overpriced in comparison to other airlines.

Two weeks after I purchased sweetdeals fare option, one of my family members were admitted to the hospital due to stroke. I called them to change the return date so I could spend more time back home and was adviced rediculous price difference. If I'm not mistaken, it's about $USD 550-$USD600 (cannot remember the exact amount). They said something like.. I have to upgrade fare option from sweetdeal to flexisaver.

Lesson to learn: READ THE FARE CONDITIONS IN CASE YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE ITINERARY. Sweetdeal is not always sweet and is always at mercy of the fare conditions.

i think when a company becomes too big, has built a well known reputation and is seen as the big dog in its industry, people will call it overated.

Apart from the fact that SQ fares are often overpriced, how is this different from other airlines?

I usually have more than 1 helping of the main course when in SQ C , but I won't say I've overeaten.
