No, it is not BTC but I have a feeling that it will be offered if you choose Oriental Meal (need confirmation - SQ website lists Oriental Meal as Chinese). The last time I picked Oriental meal when I was flying F, I was also offered Shi Quan Shi Mei. But, I decided to go with the lamb instead.

Let's hope if it will be Shi Quan Shi Mei again this time.

KPC, thanks for the link. It does look delicious.

I also don't care for the kyo-kaiseki on SQ F - have had it 4 times in the past year and only mildly enjoyed it once. The presentation is the best part (good photo op), but the taste and ingredient left a lot to be desired. May be better for people who really know a lot about Japanese cuisine, as a lot of the ingredients are not identifiable for novices like me. The crew once showed me their instruction sheet with diagrams and text (to make sure there's no meat product, as I had specified - I'm mostly vegetarian but will eat some seafood), and according to the English descriptions, the ingredients are definitely 'exotic' to the uninitiated.

Now, if only they had shojin-ryori (Zen buddhist vegetarian kaiseki, widely available in Kyoto and especially at temples)...

AFAIK, since the meals are lunch and light meal, both are BTCed. I remembered I did it. I had not so heavy lunch, and I had lamb for light meal which is about dinner time in Europe.

But hey, it was a pleasant surprise when she passed me a bright red BP with seat 3A indicated on it in exchange. Worth all the effort to climb down the stairs to my new seat.
That was certainly a good experience. My bell went "DING!" only at the check-in counter. Would have loved something more dramatic!

9V-JKL, Why don't you BTC for 2 meals ex-SIN and ex-LAX? Or maybe there is a specific menu that you really like from TPE BTC station?

I understand that part on BTCing supper. I don't get off at TPE and therefore my flight is basically ex-SIN & ex-LAX. Question is can I BTC ex-TPE along the way

I was just on the phone with SQ and I learned that I could BTC for SQ 638 supper that leaves SIN for NRT at 2340 local time. If BTC is possible for SQ 638, it should have no problem for the TPE - LAX (supper as well). I am not sure, however, for TPE-SIN since BTC is not available for Breakfast.

CGK, being one of the masters in this (or maybe The Master of BTC), should have all the answers.
