yes the 744s will leave soon - and maybe MEL be served by the refurbished 773 or even the 333s.

I think there is a good chance that SQ will serve MEL with A330-300s -- at least during the low season.

[QUOTE=FlyBoy;91847]Meanwhile MEL is stuck with the 744 and 773..... [/QUOTE

Sometimes living in a smaller city has it's advantages with the aircraft type.

The local Adelaide news website adelaidenow has some nice footage of the A330 on the ground in Adelaide as well as some footage shot inside the aircraft. You can see it at:

Very nice footage indeed. I love the 333, it's a great plane. Especially since I miss SQ's 343, but then again the 333 is just like it but with two engines

About time... ever since Jeff Kennet stole the F1 from Adelaide and moved it to Melbourne there has been the impression that those Victorians get a better deal... however this time its one up for Adelaide! Adelaide got the A330 first No Victorian is going to steal that from us

No way, the Clipsal 500 is way better than the F1.

Still, awesome to have the brand new SQ A330's flying to Adelaide. Can't wait to fly SQ again out of Adelaide so I can enjoy this new aircraft.

I'm disappointed though that I forgot the first flight was on Saturday morning, I was planning on heading down to the airport to get some photos. Oh well.

I must have missed the post about 9V-STE's arrival into service. I just got off her on BNE-SIN and landed two hours ago.

She is so nice and new.

They're certainly coming online quickly. Its certainly a great sight every morning seeing the A330 following North East Road into ADL. She also seems alot quieter than the 772.

As a result other than Pacific Blue all ADL scheduled international flights are now Airbus aircraft with the A330 being used by SQ, CX, MH and QF and A320 by NZ. Only Pacific Blue utilise the B738 on its non-stop flights to DPS and NAN.

Has anyone posted any TR on either the BNE or ADL flights?

SQ have an urgent need for smaller aircraft, so they're taking them as fast as Airbus can deliver, while other airlines are having trouble securing financing to take delivery.
