  • A380 C or 77W F

    Hi guys,
I am still not sure which option would be better. I am going to fly to SIN during my october break, and found these 2 options. It's either ZRH-SIN-ZRH in F or LHR-SIN-LHR in C as R is a way too expensive in my opinion. I always wanted to fly with the A 380 but then I have to say First is still First. The prices are identical so what shall I do?
You are not, who you are, you are who you want to be.

I would go for F. There will be another time when you can fly the A380.

Definitely 77W F. Still better than 380 C for sure.

Aside from the novelty, the only advantage of the WhaleJet in C over the 777 in F would be the quieter cabin. I would choose the flight with the more convenient schedule. If the schedules were equally convenient, I might be inclined to choose LHR over ZRH because there is more time to sleep.

I echo SQflyergirl's sentiments EXACTLY "F is still F is still F is still F".

77W F for sure. F is still F is still...

The A380 novelty will gradually fade as more and more of them arrive. I actually like the 77W in J as much as the A380.

Ok so I will go with the general opinion, and go for the 77W. I even found a 77W F flight from Europe to SIN which is much cheaper as the C fare on the A 380.
                    Thx for the help

I think you will not regret your decision. I realized when I took A380 in C, I said to myself, 77W in F is a better option. Yes, in A380 the C cabin is huge. Thus you will get less attention compare to 8 pax in 77W F cabin. Again, F is still an F.

Enjoy your trip! Well, if I may suggest, I heard the 77W to or from CDG in F is always above the other routes. I remember one of the IFS commented about it, as well as more Krug uploaded on board.

If you fly via ZRH, though, you only pay half the price compared to the CDG flight

I've flown the new F between SIN and ZRH and I had good flights in both directions. Enjoy!

                            C on A380 or F on 77W (Lhr-Sin)

Looking to take Mrs D away for a weekend to Sin (i have never been outside Airport!). Mrs D has never flown SQ before and has only done C on LH (boo to those slopey seats !). I would really love her to have a great experience onboard so am looking at SQ premium cabins (or maybe VS UC?)

I have KF miles to use up before they expire, and a few amex miles kicking around

I have found availability on 77W in F, but on same dates, there is availailty on A380 in C (I assume R is never available ?:-) )

Taxes are about the same, but 77W in F is 366Kmiles for the two of us, whereas 380 in C is only 272K.

If i use my amex miles to top up to F, i literally have JUST enough :-), but i am thinking lets have a blow out on a hotel with the miles instead !

My other option is to choose a flight to somewhere else (genuinley not bothered where we go) on VS in UC, but availability is scarce and mileage costs similar!

                            So the question is....

                            What would YOU do ?
Have we flown/are we flying together ?
