  • Counting down to my next SQ flight....

I just flew Brussels-Atlanta in business class on Delta. Ugh. It is my first experience in US international premium class, and while the FAs did a fine job, the condition of the plane and the food service was just... *speechless*

I've heard good things about UA and NW, so maybe it's just a Delta thing. But the plane was just grotty. The bathrooms were serviceable I guess, but I had no desire to 'linger' at all. Usually when I fly SQ I would freshen up on the plane before arrival. Not this time! I was quite happy that I didn't even need to use the loo on the return journey!

I'm curious how many of the other J pax actually paid for the J ticket.

Anyway, my next flight is AMS-SIN in mid-July. I can't wait so that I can flush that Delta flight from my memory!

Where? I go out of my way to avoid UA unless it is unavoidable.

Can't point you to a specific thread/post, but it was an SQ regular who said this when I was seeking help on a routing a couple of years back.

And this makes me take back anything negative I might have said about LH business class!

It is nice to have that to look forward to.

Yes, indeed. When I get back to work on Monday, I'll have to get on the phone and pin down travel dates!

I am taking SQ 323/324 AMS - SIN this coming week, anyone knows if they normally configure the plane in J/Y or F/J/Y? If only J/Y, is it the 2-2-2 config?

AndySYD, you will be travelling on the Boeing 777-200ER with SpaceBeds configured in a 2-2-2 configuration. I think it has 255 Economy Class seats.

I know how you feel! 12 days till mine!

It will be a refreshing change from my usual flights on UA.
Such a way about you, My Singapore Girl. Wouldn't go away without you, My Singapore Girl.

Oh, and the lav will not be near the cockpit. Every time I take this aircraft, I always look for the lav incorrectly.

Yeah, I am looking forward to my next SQ flight again.

Hehehe so true... I think this is the same config as the one they use SIN - YVR right? I took this flight few months ago and kept on going near the cockpit...

Wish I could look forward to my SQ flight: work demands keep changing, which means my flight keeps moving around. I think I'll feel a bit incredulous once I finally get to hear the safety video melody.

Do give us an update on your flight, fimo.

You should come up to Nottingham and visit us jjpb3, as mrs nickbot always seems to be singing it! It would be just as if you're onboard

41 days to our next SQ flight ...it's been far too long!

41 days ... definitely enough time for me to nip to Nottingham before your trip.

Ahh, but our inaugural LH F trip is in a mere 24 days, so you'd better be quick The SQ flight is on our trip home, so trying not to wish the time away!

She's singing it as I sit here typing,...including the "Thank you, and have a pleasant flight" bit! Think the wine is going to her head

Never thought I'd be in the position to compare two F products until fairly recently! All thanks to advice from the good folks at SQTalk
