    It is The SQ Bird!

Well, this is the reply I received from SQ earlier today regarding The Golden Colored Bird...

    080202303/CR/LX

    Dear Mr UMD

Warm greetings. Thank you for your e-mail dated 8 February 2008.

We wish to inform you that the SIA logo is a bird symbol that makes no
reference to any particular bird. The bird symbol is a uniquely designed
identification device which graphically represents the company. It has
remained unchanged over the years and will continue to be the most important
element in our total communications system for years to come.

I hope we managed to address your query. Thank you once again for your
    interest.

Mr UMD, we appreciate your continued loyalty and look forward with
great pleasure to welcoming you on your upcoming flight to Hong Kong this
    Sunday.

    Yours sincerely

Looks like everyone has been thinking too much..
We put labels on people and fight wars over them. If we truly want harmony, we have to get past the labels.

Usually, more than half the fun is in the imagining.

I refuse to see just a stylized bird.

I do apologize for ruining all the fun. I just couldn't resist myself.

ok, consider the fun unruined. It is really beginning to look like a pheasant now

                        Thanks for the clarification.

On a sidenote... I've never come across the name Lixia till now and I absolutely fell in love with it... what is it with x-es in names that make them so appealing to me?
